About Big Bed Guide
Big Bed Guide is an independent research site dedicated to oversized beds–Alaskan King, Wyoming King, Texas King, and beyond. We're not a mattress store. We don't manufacture beds. We exist to help you navigate a confusing niche where sizes aren't standardized, most sellers are small operations, and finding reliable information is genuinely difficult.
Why This Site Exists
Shopping for an oversized bed is nothing like buying a Queen or King. There's no standard sizing body. An "Alaskan King" from one company might not match another's dimensions exactly. Return policies are stricter because these beds are made to order. Shipping logistics are complicated when your mattress weighs 200+ pounds.
We built Big Bed Guide because we needed a resource like this ourselves–and it didn't exist. Every oversized bed site we found was either a seller promoting their own products or a thin affiliate page with recycled specs. Nobody was doing the actual work of comparing sellers, verifying policies, and explaining the real tradeoffs.
So we did it.

We research and compare every aspect of buying an oversized bed:

Our Standards
Every seller listed on Big Bed Guide meets our baseline criteria: they must have a working website, clear pricing or quote process, stated shipping policies, and identifiable contact information. We note when sellers don't offer sleep trials or free returns–that's important information buyers need, and we don't hide it to protect affiliate relationships.
If something changes–a seller updates pricing, adjusts their return policy, or stops carrying a size–we update our data. We mark all seller tables with a "Last verified" date so you know how current the information is.
